Using Advanced Custom Fields Pro

In this series we’ll be taking a look at the Advanced Custom Fields Pro plugin for WordPress, or ACF Pro for short. In case you’re unfamiliar, the free version of ACF lets you extend your content creation abilities by letting you define your own custom input fields. That means you can work with more than just the default Title and Content forms when creating content. It really pushes the content management aspect of WordPress. This series assumes you have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and PHP, as well as familiarity with the WordPress dashboard, WordPress folder structure, WordPress theme editing, setting up a local WordPress install and using the free version of Advanced Custom Fields. If none of that seems familiar, then please check out their respective series here on CodeTime before moving on. You should also have already purchased an ACF Pro license, which can be had starting at $25 for one site, or $100 for unlimited. Please have it installed on a local WordPress instance before starting the next episode.
